The Wrap up

I think everyone planning to attend the Unwrapped market last weekend had their fingers crossed for sunny weather and, lucky for us, we got it! As the cool breeze died down it was clear that Perth Spring had set in and stall holders and shoppers alike enjoyed a beautiful day of browsing and shopping.

The designers I shared a stall with, Erin and Kate, were such a delight. It was the first chance I had to see the full range of their label On a Whim (pictured) and I fell head over heels in love. I didn't get the chance to try anything on but hopefully I will soon. I think the three of us will tee something up again in the future. Our labels work well side by side, both under the concept of using vintage fabrics in our own fresh designs. If you'd like to check out On a Whim products you can look them up on facebook.

Kate, Erin and I had a successful day and each have some promising prospects on the cards. Stay tuned for what's in store.

Unwrapped this Sunday

In the week preluding my next market, I had to show you the poster for the event this Sunday 12th Sept. The photo in the Unwrapped poster is adorable and the dress featured is by Unwrapped stall holder Little Gracie

Little Gracie designer, Ebony Harding, has some beautiful garments and I LOVE her styling/marketing. The photo shoots on her website are amazing. The latest one, Spring/Summer 2010, looks like it's been shot in a dried up salt lake or something. The desolate white landscape with blue sky does so much for the pastel coloured garments. I think I'll have to scrounge some $$ up for a little shopping myself on Sunday. See you there.
